George Whitefield by: Arnold A. Dallimore
I have found in my Christian walk that one of the most encouraging things I can do is read a good biography. With that being said, there is no better individual to read about than the great Evangelist George Whitefield.
This book by Dallimore gives a great summary of his life. Though it's not as exhaustive as other biographies, it's extremely readable and keeps the reader engaged.
In the first half of the book, various aspects o

God’s Battle Plan for the Mind by: David W. Saxton

He usually has his eyes closed, his hands resting on his knees, his index fingers and thumbs pursed together pointing upwards to the stars as he hums and breaths deeply. This new age mystical idea of meditation has caused most Christians to pull away from the prac

Discipling by Mark Dever
Although this book is small, the size does not take away from its rich content. The direct and concise way that Mark lays out the information is helpful and encouraging. He begins the book by giving a definition of discipling. He talks not only about the actual work of discipling but also some of the objections that are sometimes raised. This section is helpful in giving the reader a true biblical understanding of discipleship. Many people today

The Heroic Boldness of Martin Luther by Steven J. Lawson
500 years ago, there was a little known Bible professor at the University of Whittenberg, named Martin Luther. This one-time Augustinian friar challenged the Catholic Church and changed the face of history forever. On October 31, 1517, Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the Castle Church in Whittenberg, thus beginning the Protestant Reformation.
Luther was a trailblazing Reformer with a boldness that
